It may or may not retain the natural bark edge. John is President of the Mountaineer Woodturners, juried Tamarack artisan, teacher, and demonstrator. John will cover the fundamentals of green wood turning, wood selection and usage, Blank preparation, Mounting options, Basic design and Turning. He will also cover Finishing and Sanding principles.

Description: In this class Students will make a decorative shelf with drawer in it. During the class you will learn how to prepare the wood, make dado cuts, rabbet joints, and pattern routing. The power tools you will be using are the Table Saw, Jointer, Planer, Band saw, and Router Table. This is an excellent introduction to woodworking class, and you get to build and take home a great project that's really useful.
