Description: This class will provide teenagers and adults an introduction to the use of the scrollwaw to cut decorative designs that serve as either a project or as a decorative overlay for furniture or other projects. The class project will allow for the discussion and practice of blade selection, wood and pattern preparation, as well as the various techniqhes used to successfully make the variety of cuts often found in fretwork patterns.

Description: Turning a lidded box is one of the most enjoyable woodturning projects. Making them exposes the turner to many design opportunities as well as a variety of turning methods, tools, and techniques. This class will utilize your basic familiarity with spindle and bowl turning tools and techniques. This will allow you to discover additional ways to use them to further develop your tool handling skills, and encourage an added element of precision to all of you turning.

Greg will explain the reatures and benefits of the various sharpening stones and there will be time to work on your tools.

Description: This is a hands-on course given by accomplished furniture maker, Alan Young (Woodwardwoodworks.com). Students will learn how to cut and shape a cabriole leg, as well as the history of the leg and how to incorporate it into various types of furniture. Each student will go home with their own cabriole leg.
