Description: Ok, what woodworker hasn’t looked at a set of gears and thought “I wish I could make that”. If you’ve ever had a dream of making a wood gear clock or other geared toy, then this class is for you. We’ll take you through basics of designing gears including the number of teeth, tooth size, gear diameter, the tooth shape necessary to limit friction, inclusion of spokes if desired… then we’ll show you how to cut it out in scale with either a scroll saw or a CNC router.
