Kapex KS 120 Dual Compound Sliding Miter Saw
This sliding compound miter saw combines the cutting capacity of a 12" miter saw in a smaller 10" miter saw design. The KS 120 is the first 10" miter saw with variable speed, enabling the user to match the speed of the blade with the requirements of the material for prefect cuts, every time. MMC (Multi-Material Speed Control) electronics maintains constant speed under load and provides overload protection.
The innovative twin-column forward rail design gives this saw greater precision in an extremely small footprint. In addition, Festool's meticulous engineers designed the saw to capture 91% of the sawdust when used with a CT dust extractor. The work surface height is equal to the height of a Systainer (SYS 1) for quick jobsite material support.
The Kapex also features: dual lasers for precise stock placement, FastFix for rapid saw blade replacement, MiterFast, angle transfer device to accurately copy angles, fine bevel adjustment, lever type bevel clamp for rapid and positive bevel angle locking, large bevel angle scale, miter angle cam lock, adjustable depth stop for cutting dados and rabbets.
The vertical handle accommodates left or right handed users, blade guard lock which is integrated into the on/off switch, clear blade guard, high quick release fences, cord wrap, V- groove interface for accessory mounting, and the honeycomb base with deep ribs provide strength and rigidity.

Many of those who have played or even admired the beauty of the guitar have shown interest in someday making an heirloom instrument that can be played today and passed on and continued to be played for generations. This class is designed to take a beginner/intermediate woodworker through the steps to make a steel string acoustic guitar from a unique kit.
You will learn the terminology and the techniques focused on many of the specialized processes to complete your own personalized instrument. The process is broken down into small steps to familiarize the student with the construction of the neck including truss rod installation, fingerboard & fretting, abalone inlay and construction of the body including brace trimming/fitting, top installation, bridge gluing/alignment, purfling and final fit up of the neck to body joint using a bolt-on system.
Each guitar will be completed leaving the final top coat finish up to the student. Look for our other classes designed for finishing techniques. Be sure to visit the store to see and play the finished guitar. Two models are available - Sapele or Sycamore.
